UAE Leaders, Allies Condemn Attacks on Gulf Diplomats, Demand De-escalation

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, engaged in separate phone discussions with the presidents of Mauritania and Argentina concerning heightened military and security threats in the Gulf region. These talks followed a recent attack on the UAE Consulate General situated in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Both Mauritania and Argentina strongly condemned the assault on the diplomatic mission, describing it as a breach of international law protecting diplomatic premises. Furthermore, they denounced the ongoing Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and neighboring countries, highlighting a pattern of regional destabilization.

The dialogues underscored the urgent need for de-escalation and halting military aggression to safeguard regional security. The international condemnation reflects growing alarm over Iran's actions which jeopardize the sovereignty and stability of multiple Middle Eastern states.

These developments affect diplomatic relations and security frameworks in the Gulf and wider Middle East, emphasizing the risk that continued Iranian hostilities could escalate further conflicts and undermine peace efforts.
