Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon have killed at least four people and wounded eight others, according to Lebanese media, after Israel issued forced displacement warnings for nine towns in southern and eastern Lebanon.The state National News Agency said two medics were among the wounded when an air strike hit a civil defence team affiliated with the Islamic Health Society in Toul, in Nabatieh, as they responded to an earlier attack.The agency said the strikes came amid ongoing Israeli military attacks in violation of the official ceasefire.In Ebba, also in Nabatieh, two men were killed and five others injured in an... Parents sentenced over fatal abuse of two-year-old Kol Page in London
A mother and her boyfriend have been sentenced to a combined 27 years in prison after being found responsible for fatal injuries to her two-year-old son, Kol Page.The sentencing took place at Southwark Crown Court in London.Zoe Coutts, 35, was jailed for 10 years and Scott O'Connor, 36, received 18 years.Prosecutors said Kol was found not breathing in April 2022 with bruising to his face and an injury to his abdomen.The court heard that the injuries were so severe they were compared with those seen in a serious road traffic accident or a fall from a height onto a hard...
