Israeli Strikes Kill Three Paramedics in Southern Lebanon Amid Escalating Conflict

Three paramedics were killed in successive Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, Lebanese officials reported, amid ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.

The attacks targeted rescue teams and ambulances responding to earlier strikes in the Nabatieh region.

A team from the Islamic Health Association was attacked while attempting to rescue people in the town of Mayfadoun, resulting in one paramedic killed and another missing.

A second team from the same association was also attacked, with three paramedics wounded.

Subsequently, two ambulances from the Risala Scout Association and the Nabatieh Ambulance Service were struck, killing two paramedics and wounding three others.

Among the victims was Fadel Serhan, a 43-year-old paramedic featured in a recent report, who had been working in the region despite repeated attacks.

Colleagues described Serhan as generous and dedicated, highlighting his commitment to providing aid during the conflict.

The Lebanese health ministry stated that more than 2,100 people have died and 7,000 have been wounded since the conflict began on 2 March, including at least 260 women and 172 children.

The ministry also reported that 91 health professionals have been killed and 208 wounded, with over 120 Israeli attacks recorded on ambulances and medical facilities.
