The Finnish presidency said the summit will underscore European Allies' commitment to assume greater responsibility for the security of the continent. Finland's stated objective is that the summit decisions reinforce NATO unity and ensure continued support for Ukraine.
On Tuesday 7 July, Stubb is scheduled to take part in the NATO Defence Industry Forum, including a panel discussion on whole-of-society industrial preparedness. That evening, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Emine Erdoğan will host a dinner for summit participants.
On Wednesday 8 July, Stubb will attend the North Atlantic Council meeting at heads of state and government level, which brings together all NATO Allies. His programme also includes several bilateral meetings.
