In Hawaii, at least one person has died as Hurricane Lala brought strong winds, torrential rain and storm surge, with flooding, outages and warnings still affecting the islands after the storm brushed just south of the state.  🔗

Road tragedy in Europe has also claimed lives, after 12 people were killed when a tourist bus carrying Polish holidaymakers crashed into a ditch on Hungary's M3 motorway near Mezokeresztes.  🔗

In Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces used North Korean missiles in a recent strike and warned that as many as 50,000 North Korean soldiers could reinforce Russia's war effort.  🔗

Fighting has intensified further, with Russia saying it destroyed 822 Ukrainian drones overnight in one of the largest aerial attacks of the war, while the cross border exchange left at least six people dead and fires burning in several areas.  🔗

Security concerns also widened on NATO's eastern flank after a Spanish F 18 on air policing duty shot down a drone that entered Romanian airspace near the border with Ukraine and Moldova.  🔗

In the Middle East, an Iranian military official has urged Qatar to let an Iranian team investigate the fate of pilots Tehran says were captured by Qatari forces, after remains of one airman were found.  🔗

In Kabul, thousands of Taliban supporters gathered to mark five years since the group's return to power, with the rally held outside a closed compound as the movement again pressed for international recognition.  🔗
