In Ukraine, prosecutor general Ruslan Kravchenko has resigned after anti graft officers searched his offices as part of a corruption investigation, even as renewed Russian strikes hit Kyiv.  🔗 The United Kingdom has also pledged £100m in military equipment, including Patriot missiles and other air defence support, to help Ukraine through the winter.  🔗

In the Middle East, Benjamin Netanyahu has denied a report that the United Arab Emirates warned him before the 7 October 2023 Hamas attack on Israel.  🔗 Separately, Israeli ministers have called for sanctions on Britain and even suggested expelling the British ambassador, after a dispute over the Falkland Islands and amid wider anger over the West Bank row.  🔗

Tensions in the occupied West Bank are also rising, with a school in al Mughayyir surrounded by barbed wire fencing as Palestinian families say they fear for their children's safety after a surge in settler attacks.  🔗 In Iran, officials have raised petrol prices again, with a higher tariff for motorists using more than 110 litres a month, while Tehran has also warned South Korea of serious consequences if it interferes in military operations linked to the Strait of Hormuz.  🔗  🔗
