In Ukraine, Russian glide bombs hit the centre of Sumy, killing at least four people, including a child, and injuring 27, while Kyiv said its forces struck a major oil terminal in Russia’s St Petersburg region and a naval target in Kronstadt during a large drone attack. The strikes showed the war widening across both the front line and Russian infrastructure.  🔗  🔗

Security tensions also flared elsewhere, with Mali reporting coordinated attacks at five locations, stretching from the north to areas near Bamako, and Poland warning that the coming months could be critical as it prepares for possible Russian provocation. Across Europe, unrest and political pressure continued in several capitals. Riot police clashed with protesters in Erfurt as they tried to block an Alternative for Germany conference, thousands demonstrated in Tirana in a widening Flamingo Revolution calling for the Albanian prime minister’s resignation, and two Romanian nationals were jailed in London over the stabbing of journalist Pouria Zeraati.
