In the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters and journalists at several locations, and residents of Ras al-Ahmar said a new barrier had cut off water, animal feed, healthcare access and movement for their Bedouin community.  🔗  🔗

Israel's Supreme Court overturned a ban on the country's two main Arab-majority political lists ahead of the October 27 election, but the vote remains contentious after Sami Abu Shehadeh, the Balad leader, withdrew under disqualification pressure.  🔗  🔗

Elsewhere in the Middle East, loud blasts were reported in Yemen's capital Sanaa as Houthi-linked media blamed Saudi air strikes, while Yemen's internationally recognised government said it had killed or wounded 1,540 Houthis in nearly 500 operations and closed the Taiz crossing amid renewed fighting.  🔗  🔗 Iraq also said it would allow Iranian airlines, except Mahan Air, to resume up to 40 daily flights to Najaf after a US exemption.  🔗

In Europe and the wider security picture, North Korea fired a ballistic missile from the Wonsan area toward the East Sea after Seoul demanded an apology over wounded soldiers, and Russia and Ukraine traded fresh strikes as Kyiv's Northern Bridge was hit again and a ship was attacked in the Odesa region.  🔗  🔗

Britain faced its own security and political headlines, with two Iranian men remanded over an alleged plot to target Jewish sites in Manchester, and police charging Joshua Kerry with preparing acts of terrorism, including an alleged plot against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.  🔗  🔗

Across Africa, the conflict in Sudan intensified as the army said it had captured al-Mazroub in North Kordofan from the Rapid Support Forces, while Ethiopia said federal forces and pro-government fighters had retaken Alula Aba Nega Airport in Mekelle as fighting spread across Tigray, Amhara and Afar.  🔗  🔗 Addis Ababa also accused Egypt, Eritrea and Sudan of backing armed groups, after ties with Eritrea were severed and fears grew across the Horn of Africa.  🔗

In central and eastern Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Ebola outbreak worsened amid conflict and attacks on the health response, with official figures putting the death toll at 4,018 from 8,300 cases, and in the Central African Republic concern rose again over LRA attacks and child abductions.  🔗  🔗

Further afield, Russia said a Mi 8 military helicopter was shot down by its own air defences in the Voronezh region, killing three crew, while a suspected plague outbreak in Irkutsk region left one person dead and 189 in quarantine.  🔗  🔗 In Libya, unity talks were disrupted after allegations linked Saddam Haftar to drone attacks on fuel sites and power stations.  🔗
