Elsewhere in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia said a drone hit an electricity distribution station in Medina that supplies power to the Prophet's Mosque, though the Houthis denied carrying out the attack.  🔗 Iran has also asked Iraq to lift flight restrictions it says are tied to US sanctions pressure, and Middle East oil flows have rebounded to 92 percent of pre war levels despite continued restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz.  🔗  🔗

In Ukraine, Russian air attacks damaged or closed three bridges over the Dnipro River in Kyiv, adding to disruption in the capital, while Ukraine said Russian forces suffered their highest monthly casualties of 2026 in September and fighting continued around Lyman.  🔗  🔗 A British paratrooper was also ruled to have died in an explosion while assisting Ukrainian troops.  🔗
